A Quaint Railway Station in Carmelaram

Carmelaram Railway Station (code: CLRM) off Sarjapur Road doesn’t feel like a Bangalore station at all. It is built on the Bangalore – Hosur – Salem line. This fairly new station has a floor-level platform, two railway lines, and a small ticket booking counter. There’s a refreshing lack of vendors and food stalls. Set amidst tall silver oak trees, it looks very pretty. And it is conveniently located, a quick 3 km from Wipro office and Doddakanelli residential areas. Not too many people know about this station.
